After School Program

Our Program

Irvine Chinese School offers daily after-school programs for elementary students that go from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday-excluding Wednesday classes, which start at 1:30 PM instead-throughout the school year. The programs include English(which teach reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar), English Writing Composition, Math, and Chinese classes. In addition, there are clubs for homework help, badminton, and table tennis.

ICS also provides students a comfortable learning environment with its beautiful facility, that includes: a school library, an indoor gym, a dancing studio, a computer lab, and reconfigurable multi-purpose rooms. The Chinese classes are taught by experienced ICS teachers, and the English, Math, and English writing classes are taught by qualified school teachers from schools around Orange County that are specially tailored for th ICS curriculum. The variety of after-school sports are also taught by the same coaches of the ICS sport clubs. The ICS office administrative staff is always willing to help the parents, students, and guests at Irvine Chinese School.

Students may alao take community classes following their after-school classes. This schedule is a highly-recommended option for these students because doing so provides more enrichment opportunities for the student and lessens commuting time for the family.

If schools are on a holiday, Irvine Chinese School offers mini camps (based on the Irvine School District calendar) that go from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Activities at the mini camp are designed to give the best supplemental learning and led by a diversity of teachers. It is a fun program for students of all ages to learn and play with both old and newfriends.
